Sri Lanka, historically known as Ceylon and officially the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, is an island country in South Asia. It lies in the Indian Ocean, southwest of the Bay of Bengal, separated from the Indian peninsula by the Gulf of Mannar and the Palk Strait.

Apart from being a large tea producer, Sri Lanka is famous for its cinnamon, an indispensable ingredient for many of its fabulous food. It is said to have originated from the teardrop nation and first found by the Egyptians in 2000 BC. Today, Sri Lanka is still a leading exporter of the world's cinnamon.

Day 1 Sigiriya

Upon arriving in Sri Lanka, you'll be warmly welcomed by our representative and whisked away to the captivating destination of Sigiriya. En route, we'll pause at the heartwarming Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, a sanctuary that provides a loving refuge for abandoned and injured elephants, a beloved attraction for visitors and locals alike. It is home to both adult and baby elephants from all corners of Sri Lanka, with a successful captive breeding program in place. For a truly magical experience, be sure to visit during feeding and bathing times when you can witness these majestic creatures at their finest.

Day 2 Kandy

After a delightful breakfast, explore the magnificent Sigiriya, a 5th-century marvel often called the "fortress in the sky." Known as Lion Rock for the colossal lion sculpture guarding its entrance, it rises nearly 500ft, surrounded by triple moats. At its peak lie fragments of a grand palace and lush gardens, complete with a swimming pool. Notably, the stairways host an ancient masterpiece: life-sized frescoes depicting damsels, dazzling in their original colors. In the afternoon, journey to Kandy, pausing to visit a spice garden, continuing your captivating Sri Lankan adventure.

Day 3 Bentota

After breakfast, indulge in a captivating Kandy City Tour, an enchanting UNESCO World Heritage site nestled among picturesque mountains. Stroll around the tranquil Kandy Lake, a haven for people-watching beneath ancient trees. Kandy's laid-back streets offer a vibrant tapestry of colonial architecture.
Visit the awe-inspiring Temple of the Tooth Relic, a place of profound cultural and religious significance. This majestic temple houses the sacred tooth relic of Buddha, drawing pilgrims from across the globe to the heart of the old city. After this immersive sightseeing experience, your journey continues as you head towards Bentota, ready to explore more of Sri Lanka's treasures.

Day 4 Bentota

After breakfast, embark on a captivating journey in Bentota. Explore the extraordinary Madu River, a biodiversity hotspot boasting diverse aquatic and avian life, including 11 agnatic mollusk species and 14 land-dwelling mollusks. Witness the thriving ecosystem with 70 fish species, 31 reptile varieties, and 50 butterfly species. Bird enthusiasts will delight in spotting 111 bird species, including migratory birds, in the river's mangrove surroundings. Continue to the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery, a vital conservation initiative dedicated to safeguarding Sri Lanka's turtles from extinction. This heartwarming visit allows you to witness the efforts to preserve these magnificent creatures.

Day 5 Colombo

Head to Colombo, a two-hour journey. Explore the city, starting with Fort, the former British administrative and military hub. Pass through Cinnamon Gardens, the tree-lined residential area. Discover Pettah's bustling commercial district, including Sea Street, known for goldsmiths, a Hindu temple, and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal from 1749. Visit BMICH, featuring an Avukana Buddha replica, and Independence Square. Then, enjoy shopping at Odel, offering designer clothing for the family and a culinary adventure. In Colombo, you'll experience a blend of history, culture, and modern shopping opportunities during this day of exploration.

Day 6 Colombo

There may be a full cancellation penalty on the products or services booked and purchased, which are non-utilized or cancelled after the cancellation deadline mentioned in the terms and conditions, while making the purchase.

Trip Sarathi Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to decline any booking or purchase for any reason and shall not be held liable for any resulting claims of losses, damages or compensation. In such an event, Trip Sarathi Pvt. Ltd. shall refund to you all unutilized money collected from you for that purchase.

For bookings and purchases, which has already been paid by you, when cancelled, refunds will be made (based on the refund policy, mentioned in terms and conditions, while making the booking or at the time of purchase). For air ticket, it may take between 15 - 21 working days, for the hotels it may take between 15 - 21 working days for the amount to get credited into your account and for the holiday Package it may take between 30 - 45 working days for the amount to get credited into your account. 1. 45 days or more prior to the departure date or from the booking date, Initial Booking Amount, or cancellation charges whichever is higher (non-refundable and non-transferable) an additional amount of visa fee will be forfeited (in case visa has been applied).
2. Between 30 days: 75% of the total tour cost will be charged as penalty or cancellation charges whichever is higher (non-refundable and non-transferable) an additional amount of visa fee will be forfeited (in case visa has been applied).
3. Less than 21 days: 100% of the total tour cost will be charged as penalty
4. No show total amount will be forfeited and no refund shall be given.
5. The cancellation policy is subject to change. It purely depends upon the cancellation policy of respective hotels. In Peaks seasons, some hotels may charge 100% cancellation

Credit Card Chargeback Fees:
Any fees charged to Trip Sarathi Pvt. Ltd by our credit card payment provider arising from a chargeback or a disputed charge on the cardholder's credit card will be charged to the cardholder. This fee is non-refundable.

Cancellation Due to Visa Rejection
All the clients traveling on Trip Sarathi Pvt. Ltd tour must be in possession of a valid visa. The client shall ensure that the Visa Application Form (s) is duly filled and verified by the Client, to its satisfaction, before it is submitted to the Embassy. / Consulate. However, kindly note that it is entirely at the discretion of the concerned Consulate / Authorities to grant/reject visas even after submitting all relevant documents and the company will not be held responsible for the same. The company is not at all liable for such cases or has any influence on the consulate/embassy’s decision The role of the company is only to provide necessary guidance to the client for the purpose of applying for VISA. The company will not be responsible for the non-issuance of visas due to receipt of incomplete/delayed documents from the Clients. It is a possibility that the consulate may ask the passengers to appear for a personal interview. This is at the sole discretion of the Consulate / Authorities. If the required documents are not submitted by the client, the issuance of the visa will further be delayed/rejected, and the client will not hold Trip Sarathi Pvt. Ltd liable for the same. The client should adhere to all the norms and conditions laid by the consulate/embassy Upon rejection of visa, if the client wishes to reapply for the visa, he/she is liable to pay again the requisite fee to the consulate and he/she will not claim from Trip Sarathi Pvt. Ltd

Force Majeure
Acts of God (including exceptional adverse weather conditions), earthquake, fire, war (declared or undeclared), invasion, rebellion, revolt, riot, civil commotion, civil war, nuclear fission, epidemic strike, act(s) of omission/commission by any concerned government(s), or government agencies, judicial or quasijudicial authorities, the occurrence of any event can force the Company to change or extended. Hence any additional expenditure occurred due to the above reasons the same will be borne by the passengers.
