Private Swiss Tour to Golden Pass Line

The journey on the GoldenPass Express is like a foray through Switzerland. The trip starts in picturesque Interlaken and continues via Gstaad, Château-d'Oex and Montbovon to Montreux, the journey's final stop. Of course, you can also start your trip in Montreux.

The GoldenPass Express journey from Interlaken to Montreux takes 3 hours 15 minutes. The route takes you from Interlaken and Lake Thun to Lake Geneva, via some beautiful countryside and stunning mountain scenery.

Day 1 Zurich Airport Pick-up; Orientation City Tour; Self-Guided Lake Zurich Cruise

Your local driver will pick you up from Zurich Airport and take you to see the highlights of Zurich from your private car, only making stops and entries based on your interests. As you travel through the streets, catch glimpses of iconic landmarks such as the majestic Limmat River, the impressive Fraumünster Church, the renowned Grossmünster, and the historic Augustinergasse. Your driver will send you to the hotel after the tour.

After some rest in the hotel and if time allows, you can walk about 10-15 minutes to the Bürkliplatz pier which is at the end of Bahnhofstrasse. Here, you will embark on a 1.5-hour cruise along the serene waters of Lake Zurich. After that, walk back to your hotel at your own leisure.

Day 2 1st Class Train to Lucerne; Explore Lucerne; Train to Interlaken

Take a one-hour scenic train ride from Zurich to Lucerne. Upon arrival, you can store your luggage in the luggage lockers at the train station. Afterwards, you can take a leisurely self-guided walking tour to explore the charming city, which should take approximately 2 hours to see. The must-sees are Chapel Bridge and the Lion Monument.

Afterwards, return to Lucerne train station and continue your train journey to Interlaken, which is the first section of the famous Golden Pass Line. During the 2-hour journey, you will see breathtaking views one after another via the large panoramic windows. Upon arrival in Interlaken, walk less than 10 minutes to reach your hotel and take some time to relax. The rest of the day is free for you. You can take a boat tour on Lake Thun or Lake Brienz, or take a funicular ride to the top of Harder Kulm. Detailed info will be provided upon your confirmation.

Day 3 Guided Mountain Excursion to Jungfraujoch by Rail; Visit Grindelwald on the Return

Your tour guide will meet you in the hotel lobby and walk you a few minutes to the Interlaken Ost station, where you will take a one-hour train ride from to Kleine Scheidegg. Upon arrival, you will transfer to the iconic Jungfrau railway. After approximately 45 minutes, you'll reach the highest railway station in Europe.

At Jungfraujoch, you'll have around 2-3 hours to explore a variety of attractions such as Ice Palace, Sphinx Observatory, and Alpine Sensation. Take the cogwheel train to Eigergletscher before transferring to a train bound for Grindelwald. It will take approximately 80 minutes. In Grindelwald, you will visit a charming mountain village. Finally, return to Interlaken Ost.

Throughout today’s journey, your guide will accompany with you, manage the ticket exchange, ensure seamless transfers, share insightful information on the attractions, and assist with all your inquiries.

Day 4 1st Class Train to Montreux; Visit Chillon Castle; Train to Geneva

Today, you will take the Golden Pass Panoramic Train from Interlaken Ost station to Montreux on your own. First-class carriages offer spacious seats and superior comfort during the 3-hour journey, with breathtaking Swiss scenery. It's advisable to depart early in the morning to maximize your day. Upon arrival in Montreux at noon, you can store your luggage at the train station, then head to the Chillon Castle, which is about 45 minutes' walk from the train station along the beautiful lakeside promenade. Exploring the castle and grounds could take around 2 hours, depending on your interests. After your visit, return to Montreux station, collect your luggage, and catch a regional train to Geneva. The journey takes around an hour.

Upon reaching Geneva, proceed to your hotel which is just a 10-minute walk away. Take some time to unwind and refresh yourself at the hotel, then start discovering the vibrant city center. Most of sites are conveniently located within walking distance, such as Jet d'Eau Fountain, Flower Clock, St. Peter's Cathedral, and Old Town.

Day 5 Private Geneva Airport See-off

Today your driver will send you to the Geneva Airport. Your driver will take you to Geneva Airport today. The journey usually takes around 20 minutes.

Trip Sarathi Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to decline any booking or purchase for any reason and shall not be held liable for any resulting claims of losses, damages or compensation. In such an event, Trip Sarathi Pvt. Ltd. shall refund to you all unutilized money collected from you for that purchase.

For bookings and purchases, which has already been paid by you, when cancelled, refunds will be made (based on the refund policy, mentioned in terms and conditions, while making the booking or at the time of purchase). For air ticket, it may take between 15 - 21 working days, for the hotels it may take between 15 - 21 working days for the amount to get credited into your account and for the holiday Package it may take between 30 - 45 working days for the amount to get credited into your account. 1. 45 days or more prior to the departure date or from the booking date, Initial Booking Amount, or cancellation charges whichever is higher (non-refundable and non-transferable) an additional amount of visa fee will be forfeited (in case visa has been applied).
2. Between 30 days: 75% of the total tour cost will be charged as penalty or cancellation charges whichever is higher (non-refundable and non-transferable) an additional amount of visa fee will be forfeited (in case visa has been applied).
3. Less than 21 days: 100% of the total tour cost will be charged as penalty
4. No show total amount will be forfeited and no refund shall be given.
5. The cancellation policy is subject to change. It purely depends upon the cancellation policy of respective hotels. In Peaks seasons, some hotels may charge 100% cancellation

Credit Card Chargeback Fees:
Any fees charged to Trip Sarathi Pvt. Ltd by our credit card payment provider arising from a chargeback or a disputed charge on the cardholder's credit card will be charged to the cardholder. This fee is non-refundable.

Cancellation Due to Visa Rejection
All the clients traveling on Trip Sarathi Pvt. Ltd tour must be in possession of a valid visa. The client shall ensure that the Visa Application Form (s) is duly filled and verified by the Client, to its satisfaction, before it is submitted to the Embassy. / Consulate. However, kindly note that it is entirely at the discretion of the concerned Consulate / Authorities to grant/reject visas even after submitting all relevant documents and the company will not be held responsible for the same. The company is not at all liable for such cases or has any influence on the consulate/embassy’s decision The role of the company is only to provide necessary guidance to the client for the purpose of applying for VISA. The company will not be responsible for the non-issuance of visas due to receipt of incomplete/delayed documents from the Clients. It is a possibility that the consulate may ask the passengers to appear for a personal interview. This is at the sole discretion of the Consulate / Authorities. If the required documents are not submitted by the client, the issuance of the visa will further be delayed/rejected, and the client will not hold Trip Sarathi Pvt. Ltd liable for the same. The client should adhere to all the norms and conditions laid by the consulate/embassy Upon rejection of visa, if the client wishes to reapply for the visa, he/she is liable to pay again the requisite fee to the consulate and he/she will not claim from Trip Sarathi Pvt. Ltd

Force Majeure
Acts of God (including exceptional adverse weather conditions), earthquake, fire, war (declared or undeclared), invasion, rebellion, revolt, riot, civil commotion, civil war, nuclear fission, epidemic strike, act(s) of omission/commission by any concerned government(s), or government agencies, judicial or quasijudicial authorities, the occurrence of any event can force the Company to change or extended. Hence any additional expenditure occurred due to the above reasons the same will be borne by the passengers.
