Tambopata Jangal Trip

Tambopata Province is the largest of three provinces in the Madre de Dios Region of Peru.

Day 1 Puerto Maldonado to the Lodge

Upon arrival at airport or bus station in Puerto Maldonado, we will meet you and transfer you to our office to make a registration.

Your excess luggage will be stored safely in our office in Puerto Maldonado and then we will continue to the Capitanía port. We take our motor boat along the Madre de Dios River for approximately 40 minutes to our Lodge. A cool welcome drink will be waiting for you.

After a well-deserved lunch, we take the boat to Monkey Island. Upon arrival at Monkey Island, we will be able appreciate a great diversity of monkeys such as the: capuchin, tamarines y squirrel monkeys and they will put on a show of swinging through the treetops charging down the trunks of the large trees that form their home in order to accept food from our hand.

We will return to the lodge and after dinner we will have our night activity, where we will take our boat and stream through the Madre de Dios River in search of the Jungle caimans. They are generally on the banks of Madre de Dios River this time will need to bring a flashlight. With luck we may see the capybara the world's largest rodent that can weigh 60 kilos impressive family of the Peruvian cuy.

Day 2 Lake Sandoval

After a great breakfast, we will take the boat to get to the control of Tambopata National Reserve Zone, after 1 and half hour walking through the rainforest we are approaching to the famous Sandoval Lake. Where we will be surrounded by immense ancient trees and entangled vines; we will be able to see multihued flower and fauna including: Giant Otters, birds, coloured butterflies, turtles, and variety of fish. We will spend few hours in canoe on this one of the most beautiful lakes in region.

After lunch, the adventure starts by reaching a tower and stairway that ascends to the treetops where a an unforgettable experience through hanging bridges that cross the tops of the large trees of the low Amazon jungle, from where you can see colorful species of animals that normally cannot be seen from the ground.

Rest of the day to rest and enjoy the sound and relaxing Jungle.

Night at the lodge.

Day 3 Parakeet’s Clay Lick – Puerto Maldonado

Very early in the morning, we will leave our lodge to reach the parakeets salte licks. Early each day, they come to eat rich clay that provides them with the salts and minerals necessary to metabolize and neutralize the toxins and acids of the flowers, fruits, and seeds upon which they feed.

We will return to the lodge around 7am for breakfast and take our boat back to Puerto Maldonado, our boat departures at 10:30am. Follow by transfer to airport or bus station.

There may be a full cancellation penalty on the products or services booked and purchased, which are non-utilized or cancelled after the cancellation deadline mentioned in the terms and conditions, while making the purchase.

Trip Sarathi Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to decline any booking or purchase for any reason and shall not be held liable for any resulting claims of losses, damages or compensation. In such an event, Trip Sarathi Pvt. Ltd. shall refund to you all unutilized money collected from you for that purchase.

For bookings and purchases, which has already been paid by you, when cancelled, refunds will be made (based on the refund policy, mentioned in terms and conditions, while making the booking or at the time of purchase). For air ticket, it may take between 15 - 21 working days, for the hotels it may take between 15 - 21 working days for the amount to get credited into your account and for the holiday Package it may take between 30 - 45 working days for the amount to get credited into your account. 1. 45 days or more prior to the departure date or from the booking date, Initial Booking Amount, or cancellation charges whichever is higher (non-refundable and non-transferable) an additional amount of visa fee will be forfeited (in case visa has been applied).
2. Between 30 days: 75% of the total tour cost will be charged as penalty or cancellation charges whichever is higher (non-refundable and non-transferable) an additional amount of visa fee will be forfeited (in case visa has been applied).
3. Less than 21 days: 100% of the total tour cost will be charged as penalty
4. No show total amount will be forfeited and no refund shall be given.
5. The cancellation policy is subject to change. It purely depends upon the cancellation policy of respective hotels. In Peaks seasons, some hotels may charge 100% cancellation

Credit Card Chargeback Fees:
Any fees charged to Trip Sarathi Pvt. Ltd by our credit card payment provider arising from a chargeback or a disputed charge on the cardholder's credit card will be charged to the cardholder. This fee is non-refundable.

Cancellation Due to Visa Rejection
All the clients traveling on Trip Sarathi Pvt. Ltd tour must be in possession of a valid visa. The client shall ensure that the Visa Application Form (s) is duly filled and verified by the Client, to its satisfaction, before it is submitted to the Embassy. / Consulate. However, kindly note that it is entirely at the discretion of the concerned Consulate / Authorities to grant/reject visas even after submitting all relevant documents and the company will not be held responsible for the same. The company is not at all liable for such cases or has any influence on the consulate/embassy’s decision The role of the company is only to provide necessary guidance to the client for the purpose of applying for VISA. The company will not be responsible for the non-issuance of visas due to receipt of incomplete/delayed documents from the Clients. It is a possibility that the consulate may ask the passengers to appear for a personal interview. This is at the sole discretion of the Consulate / Authorities. If the required documents are not submitted by the client, the issuance of the visa will further be delayed/rejected, and the client will not hold Trip Sarathi Pvt. Ltd liable for the same. The client should adhere to all the norms and conditions laid by the consulate/embassy Upon rejection of visa, if the client wishes to reapply for the visa, he/she is liable to pay again the requisite fee to the consulate and he/she will not claim from Trip Sarathi Pvt. Ltd

Force Majeure
Acts of God (including exceptional adverse weather conditions), earthquake, fire, war (declared or undeclared), invasion, rebellion, revolt, riot, civil commotion, civil war, nuclear fission, epidemic strike, act(s) of omission/commission by any concerned government(s), or government agencies, judicial or quasijudicial authorities, the occurrence of any event can force the Company to change or extended. Hence any additional expenditure occurred due to the above reasons the same will be borne by the passengers
