Ushuaia and El Calafate Argentina

Ushuaia is a resort town in Argentina. It's located on the Tierra del Fuego archipelago, the southernmost tip of South America, nicknamed the “End of the World.” The windswept town, perched on a steep hill, is surrounded by the Martial Mountains and the Beagle Channel. It's the gateway to Antarctica cruises and tours to nearby Isla Yécapasela, known as “Penguin Island” for its penguin colonies.

El Calafate is a town near the edge of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field in the Argentine province of Santa Cruz. It’s mainly known as the gateway to Los Glaciares National Park, home to the massive Perito Moreno Glacier, whose ever-shifting icy landscape is popular for hiking and sightseeing. A modern interpretive center called the Glaciarium serves as a primer on the region’s numerous glaciers.

Day 1 Arrival to Ushuaia Airport, transfer to your hotel + Afternoon Beagle Channel Navigation

Arrival transfer from Ushuaia Airport to hotel (you must arrive around 12:00pm).

In due time, transfer to Touristic pier. Presentation time at 2:30pm. Check-in registration and start the Beagle Channel and Sea Wolf Island, the first remote tourist destination. Sailing between two oceans, meeting the fauna that inhabits the southernmost waters of the continent, and getting close to the Les Éclaireurs lighthouse are some of the must-do activities on your stay in Ushuaia. We have an approach to the history of the first expeditions that arrived in the region, and to the species of animals and plants which are present in the imposing Beagle Channel.Birds island: Our tour guide accompanies us to teach us about the history, geography, and marine fauna of the environment we are submerged into. Birds show themselves all around us and during the entire sail, flying over the waters that make up their natural habitat. Our first stop is Bird Island, where we will sightsee cormorants, seagulls, terns, and the snowy sheathbill.Sea lions island: In another of the Beagle Channel islands, we find the South American sea lions and the South American fur seals. It is interesting to see the behavior and habitat where these imposing sea mammals live. We have the opportunity to get near them and see in detail their behavior!Les Éclaireurs Lighthouse: Upon arrival at Les Éclaireurs lighthouse, we can appreciate how the fauna of the channel lives together in this scenery. We travel in time to reminisce the sinking of the SS Monte Cervantes that happened in 1930; and to learn the reason why some call it “the lighthouse of the End of the World”.

Day 2 Morning excursion Tierra del Fuego National Park & transfer to Airport to take your flight to El Calafate

Breakfast at hotel.

Pick up at 8:00-8:30am at the hotel and you will visit the stunning Tierra del Fuego National Park situated in the south-east of the province, almost touching the border with Chile. This is the most southern national park in the Andes and is a beautiful Patagonian forest with lakes, lagoons and rivers. Take a ride in the Austral Fueguino train, known as the “Train to the End of the World”. The train crosses the Pipo River, stopping at various points so that passengers can appreciate the fantastic panoramic views of Lago Roca and Lapataia Bay, and the impressive snowed-capped peaks of Cerro Nevado and La Cadena Sampaio (Chile).

Return to the hotel. Recover your luggage and transfer to the airport to board your next flight destination El Calafate. (we reccommend to book a flight departing after 4:00pm)

Day 3 Full day Navigation Todo Glaciares

After breakfast we will take a bus to Punta Bandera where we will then get on board of a boat for a trip across the "Ice Rivers". Here we will appreciate the other various glaciers: Upsala, Onelli, Agassiz and Bolado. You can take along with you a box lunch or you can buy some snacks on the boat.

The catamaran will take you to the main points of interest in the Glacier National Park. We will first stop in front of the colossal and icy blue walls of the Upsala Glacier. With a surface area of 870 square kilometers, it is the third-largest glacier in the Southern Hemisphere. From the boat, we will be able to observe its incredible icy landscape, which even serves as a training ground for the military forces that travel to Antarctica.

We will continue our journey to the Spegazzini Glacier. The most impressive thing about this mass of rock and ice is its walls: they reach a height of 135 meters! We will leave behind its white peaks between Chile and Argentina to enter the cold waters that surround the Seco Glacier.

This is a retreating glacier (hence its name) that shows a tongue of land eroded in the past. Around it we will observe the green vegetation trying to make its way through the ice.

The catamaran will continue its journey along Lake Argentino to Punta Bandera. After tour is over you will be transfered back to your hotel in El Calafate

Day 4 Full day Perito Moreno Glacier with Navigation to Brazo Rico Channel

Departing from El Calafate, we will travel 80kilometers by bus to the simply mind-blowing natural beauty of the Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the last naturally advancing glaciers in the world. Then we will take a boat across the Lake Brazo Rico and appreciate the various faces of the famous glaciar.

During the trip we will meet beautiful places in the pre-Andean mountain range, traveling along the main course of Lago Argentino. After crossing along Centinela and Mitre Rivers, we arrive in Brazo Rico to enter the Parque Nacional Los Glaciares. Along the shores of Lago Rico floating ice can be appreciated until we are finally astonished by an area of exceptional natural beauty and a UNESCO National Heritage site. We will have time to walk throughout the runways, exploring and sightseeing Perito Moreno’s uniqueness. We will eat in a native restaurant.

Safari Nautico: The tour consists of one-hour navigation on the Lago Rico that allows us to appreciate the walls of the ice Perito Moreno Glacier. The boat gets as close as possible (200 meters) to the point where Glacier touches the Península de Magallanes. Then, it sails 3 kilometers facing the south wall so that passengers can admire the daily ruptures and the magnificent beauty of the crevasses, the vast cracks, and its peculiar blue color. It’s highly recommended to include the visit to the Glacier since the south wall can’t be completely appreciated from the runways. Finally, we return to Calafate.

Day 5 Departure transfer to El Calafate Airport to take your next flight

For bookings and purchases, which has already been paid by you, when cancelled, refunds will be made (based on the refund policy, mentioned in terms and conditions, while making the booking or at the time of purchase). For air ticket, it may take between 15 - 21 working days, for the hotels it may take between 15 - 21 working days for the amount to get credited into your account and for the holiday Package it may take between 30 - 45 working days for the amount to get credited into your account. 1. 45 days or more prior to the departure date or from the booking date, Initial Booking Amount, or cancellation charges whichever is higher (non-refundable and non-transferable) an additional amount of visa fee will be forfeited (in case visa has been applied).
2. Between 30 days: 75% of the total tour cost will be charged as penalty or cancellation charges whichever is higher (non-refundable and non-transferable) an additional amount of visa fee will be forfeited (in case visa has been applied).
3. Less than 21 days: 100% of the total tour cost will be charged as penalty
4. No show total amount will be forfeited and no refund shall be given.
5. The cancellation policy is subject to change. It purely depends upon the cancellation policy of respective hotels. In Peaks seasons, some hotels may charge 100% cancellation

Credit Card Chargeback Fees:
Any fees charged to Trip Sarathi Pvt. Ltd by our credit card payment provider arising from a chargeback or a disputed charge on the cardholder's credit card will be charged to the cardholder. This fee is non-refundable.

Cancellation Due to Visa Rejection
All the clients traveling on Trip Sarathi Pvt. Ltd tour must be in possession of a valid visa. The client shall ensure that the Visa Application Form (s) is duly filled and verified by the Client, to its satisfaction, before it is submitted to the Embassy. / Consulate. However, kindly note that it is entirely at the discretion of the concerned Consulate / Authorities to grant/reject visas even after submitting all relevant documents and the company will not be held responsible for the same. The company is not at all liable for such cases or has any influence on the consulate/embassy’s decision The role of the company is only to provide necessary guidance to the client for the purpose of applying for VISA. The company will not be responsible for the non-issuance of visas due to receipt of incomplete/delayed documents from the Clients. It is a possibility that the consulate may ask the passengers to appear for a personal interview. This is at the sole discretion of the Consulate / Authorities. If the required documents are not submitted by the client, the issuance of the visa will further be delayed/rejected, and the client will not hold Trip Sarathi Pvt. Ltd liable for the same. The client should adhere to all the norms and conditions laid by the consulate/embassy Upon rejection of visa, if the client wishes to reapply for the visa, he/she is liable to pay again the requisite fee to the consulate and he/she will not claim from Trip Sarathi Pvt. Ltd

Force Majeure
Acts of God (including exceptional adverse weather conditions), earthquake, fire, war (declared or undeclared), invasion, rebellion, revolt, riot, civil commotion, civil war, nuclear fission, epidemic strike, act(s) of omission/commission by any concerned government(s), or government agencies, judicial or quasijudicial authorities, the occurrence of any event can force the Company to change or extended. Hence any additional expenditure occurred due to the above reasons the same will be borne by the passengers.
